Obituary Condolences

LEONARD G. PINTER, 84 ROCKFORD - Leonard G. Pinter, 84, of Rockford died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 4, 1926, in South Beloit to Mr. and Mrs. Emro Pinter. Married Irma J. Clayton on March 21, 1953, in Rockford. Leonard retired in 1987 from the U. S. Post Office after 34 years of service. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, life member of AmVets Post 38, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the YMCA retired men's club. Survivors include sons, Leonard (Linda) Pinter of Freeport and Ronald Pinter of Rockford; twin grandsons, Vincent Ronald and Clayton Charles Pinter; half sisters and brothers, Barbara (Melvin) Hanson of Beloit, Wis., Suzanne (Dean) Sanders of Ames, Iowa, Gwendolyn Garvey of Wisconsin and David (Taffee) Pinter of Houston; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and significant other, Ann Doyle of Rockford. Service at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1829 N. Rockton Ave., with visitation from noon to service time; the Rev. Kathy Whitney, pastor, will officiate. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family. Arrangements by Anderson-Long-Klontz Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd., 6825 Weaver Road.
