Gilbert G. 'Gil' Easton, 78 LOVES PARK - Gilbert G. "Gil" Easton, 78 of Loves Park passed away Saturday in his residence. Born July 1, 1932, in Loves Park, the son of Henry M. and Grace (Teachout) Easton. Gil was owner of Larson Sheet Metal for 20 years. Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Sheet Metal Workers Local 219. He was active in the Experimental Aircraft Association building and restoring numerous airplanes and helicopters. Member of the Boots and Bonnets English Car Club and South Wisconsin Convertible Club. Gil's many hobbies include flying, boating, skiing, motorcycles and camping. He was a college instructor in sheet metal. Survivors include his former wife and current companion, Darlene Skidis of Loves Park; former wife, Pamela Easton of Loves Park; children, Alan (JoAnna) Easton of Town and Country, Mo., Diane (Jeff) Easton Leavell of Wildwood, Mo., Kevin (Gail) Easton of Barnhart, Mo., Karen (Pat) Donnelly of Dellwood, Mo., and Shane Easton of Loves Park; brothers, Robert (Joyce) Easton of Lake Isabella, Calif., Howard (Mary Ann) Easton of Loves Park, Donald (Audrey) and Richard (Barbara) Easton, all of Rockford; sisters, Eloise (Lee) Jeardeau, Elinor (Ed Quick) Vaher and Alice Chambers, all of Rockford; nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, in Westminster Presbyterian Church; the Rev. Bill Ward will officiate. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd. , 401 River Lane.
