SCOTT EDWARD HAWES, 42 ROSCOE - Scott Edward Hawes, 42, of Roscoe passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, with family and friends by his side. Born Dec. 30, 1968, in Rockford to Thomas Edward and Terry (Heinzeroth) Hawes. Scott was a graduate of Hononegah High School in 1987, and a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Class of 1992. Employed by Alpine Bank as vice-president of commercial lending. Past member of Mah-Nah-Tee-See Country Club in Rockford where he loved to play golf. He also enjoyed watching football, the Packers, go Pack go, and skiing in Colorado. He was on the board of Patriots Gateway Community Center and Northern Illinois Epilepsy Foundation as treasurer. He loved his children and spending time with his friends was very important to him. Survived by his wife and love, Tarrah Gilligan-Hawes of Roscoe; his loving children, Abbigail and Michael, at home; father, Thomas (Joann) of Roscoe; mother, Terry Hawes of Loves Park; grandmother, Norma Heinzeroth of Loves Park; father- and mother-in-law, Terry and Cheri Gilligan of Roscoe; aunts, Tracy (Keith) Robinson of Machesney Park and Jackie Hawes of Florida; great-aunt, Esther "Essie" Harnish of Freeport; brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Crystal Gilligan of Roscoe; niece and nephew, Haleigh and Haden Gilligan of Roscoe; cousins, Kelsy Robinson, Shawn (Carla) Hawes, Tad Hawes and Jay (Betsy) Armstrong; and many close friends. Predeceased by grandfather, Wayne "Weiner" Heinzeroth; grandfather and grandmother, Jack and Lois Hawes; and uncle, Richard Hawes. Service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, with Pastor John Heins officiating. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery. Visitation from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
