Obituary Condolences

DOLORES M. FITZGERALD, 79 ROSCOE - Dolores M. Fitzgerald, 79, of Roscoe died at 12:24 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born June 2, 1932, in Mauston, Wis., daughter of Matt and Anna (Warme) Riddlestine. Dolores married Michael J. Fitzgerald on Aug. 21, 1954, in Mauston, Wis. She was co-owner of Nyrie's Flower Shop in South Beloit for 20 years. Member of St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit. Dolores loved to garden, play cards and collect vases. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the WWE. She graduated from St. Patrick Catholic Schools, Class of 1950. Survivors include husband, Michael; daughter, Ann (John) Zahn of Rockton; son, Steven (significant other, Claudia Weitekamp) Fitzgerald of Honolulu; daughter, Christine (Dean) Arndt of Beloit, Wis.; grandchildren, Michael Lueck, Lane and Tigh Fitzgerald, and Victoria Arndt; sister, Ruthie Clark; brother, Raymond Riddlestine; sister, Elaine Kotek; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; sisters, Loretta, Marie, Margaret, Irene and Bernice; brothers, Matthew and Leo. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Earle and Gail Garrepy for all communions brought to the house and the friendship they have had over the years. The family thanks the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Dept. for all their help and care given to Dolores over the years. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 822 E. Grand Ave., Beloit, Wis., with Fr. John Hedrick officiating. Burial in Rockton Township Cemetery, Rockton. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, with scripture service at 7:45 p.m. Visitation also from 9 a.m. to time of Mass Saturday at the church. A memorial is being established.
