JAMES A. GOSNELL, 31 POPLAR GROVE - James A. Gosnell, 31, of Poplar Grove died Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Schaumburg. Jim was born Nov. 30, 1980, the son of Walter and Diane (Gosnell) Lieber. Jim married Jaclin Wohlfert on Aug. 21, 2009, in Boone County. Corporal James A. Gosnell served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion in Iraq and Afghanistan, prior to his honorable discharge. Jim enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and was the most loving husband, father and friend. Jim is loved and will be missed by his wife, Jaclin; parents, Diane and Walter; daughter, Devan Marie; grandmother, Betty Gosnell; uncle, Jay Gosnell; cousins, Constance (Don) Bailey, Jennifer (Kurt) Collins and Michael (Jody) Gosnell; stepsisters, Jacqueline (Tony) LaGrene, Rachel (Rob) Palin, Tricia (fiancé, Terry) Lieber; mother and father-in-law Melody and Daniel Wohlfert; brother-in-law, Dustin (fiancée, Maggie) Wohlfert; nephew, Charley Wohlfert; grandmother-in-law, Alice Waite; Devan's mother, Jenny Drake; and his dog, Drake; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. Predeceased by his grandfather, James E. "Bubba" Gosnell. The family gives a special "thank you", to Jim's best friend, Mike Weir; for all his love, support and brotherly bond with Jim. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, with the Rev. Dale Anderson, pastor of Belvidere Assembly of God Church, officiating. Cremation rites accorded with burial of cremains in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the funeral home. Memorials can be given in care of the family.
