VIRGINIA ZUCK, 101 WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Virginia Zuck, 101, of Winona Lake passed away at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake. Born Dec. 5, 1910, in Rockford, Ill., to James M. and Erna (Reichstein) Wise. Formerly of Rockford, she relocated with her family to Winona Lake in 1945, and later to Grace Village in Winona Lake. She was a graduate of Rockford High School, attended the University of Illinois and Grace College, and graduated from Manchester College with a bachelor's degree. She received her masters degree in library science from Indiana University. On March 14, 1931 she was united in marriage to Raymond F. Zuck in Decatur, Ill.; he died Dec. 11, 1973. She was formerly employed by the Warsaw Times Union Newspaper and was a longtime employee of the Warsaw Community School Corp., serving as an English teacher and librarian. She was a 60-year member of The Church of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Winona Lake. Survived by sons, Greg (Theresa) Zuck of Estes Park, Colo., David Zuck of Escondido, Calif., and Richard R. (Carol) Zuck of Seal Beach, Calif.; sister-in-law, Helen Wise of Rockford; grandchildren, David Zuck of Escondido, Mark (Wendy) Zuck of Boulder Colo., and Cathy (Jim Smith) Zuck of Louisville, Colo.; and great-grandchildren, Paxton and Vander Zuck of Boulder, and Anna and Mikael Smith of Louisville, Colo. Service at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with visitation from 1 p.m. to time of service; Pastor Rob Harrison will officiate. A gathering will be held following the service at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake. Interment at noon Tuesday, May 29, in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.
