ETHELDA 'BETTY' M. PIPER, 92 ROCKFORD - Ethelda "Betty" Marjorie Piper, 92, of Rockford passed away Monday Dec. 24, 2012, at home. She was born July 31, 1920, in Shullsburg, Wis., daughter of Leroy and Lydia Ingram. Betty married Norval D. "Buster" Piper on June 10, 1939; he died March 29, 1985. She worked at Amerock for 30 years. Betty was a member of St. Bernadette Church, Women of the Moose and the Alpha Organization. Survivors include two daughters, Joan (Robert) St. Clair of Loves Park and Claudia Grenert; grandchildren, Kelly Spera and Dan (Alana) Spera, all of Rockford, and Cassandra (Tony) Bonnet of Roscoe; great-grandchildren, Daxx, Isabella and Dominic Spera, Taylor and Jacob Fischer; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Regina. The family would like to thank VNA Hospice for their care and support of Betty. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at St Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
