GARMER DELAIN HARTMAN, 80 ROSCOE - Garmer DeLain Hartman, 80, of Roscoe passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 27, 1932, in Bloomsburg, Pa.; the son of Bruce and Mary Melinda (McQuay) Hartman. Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Married Grace Elaine Yohey on June 20, 1953, in Berwick, Pa. He worked for Chrysler Corp., as a welder for 25 years. Garmer was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church where he was active in the men's group for many years. He was an avid deer hunter, and lifetime member of the Roscoe VFW Post 2955. Survivors include wife, Grace of Roscoe; children, Mary R. Wilson and Holly L. (Kurt) Keister, both of Roscoe, Geraldine M. (Murt) Dunn of Machesney Park, Karen M. (Steve) Link of Poplar Grove and Debbie L. (Dallas) Laman of Geneseo; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; five great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson; brothers, Harry and Martin Hartman; sisters, Dolly Sitler, Barbara Plish and Evelyn Hess; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by great-grandson; two brothers; and three sisters. Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Roscoe United Methodist Church, 10816 Main St., Roscoe, with the Rev. Don Dexheimer officiating. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 2nd Ave., and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Memorials to Roscoe United Methodist Men's Group. To share a memory or send a condolence visit olsonfh.com.
