ANTHONY T. RAPPA, 76 ROCKFORD - Anthony T. Rappa, 76, of Rockford passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Rockford, the son of Thomas and Louise Rappa. Graduate of St Thomas High School, 1954. He married Beverly Rudolph on Aug. 21, 1980, in Rockford. He worked for Illinois Bell for 20 years, RPS 205 for seven years and for Rock River Towers for 11 years. Tony loved to hunt and fish and caught fish, stones and rocks. Member of St. Anthony Church and the Venetian Club. Former member of the Eagles Club and the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; children, Teresa Daugherty and Paula Reynolds, both of Rockford, Douglas (Lea) Rappa of Pecatonica, Brian and Linda Addotta, Peter and Doreen Addotta, John Addotta, Jeff Addotta, and Paul and Leigh Addotta; 28 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; brother, John (Ann) Rappa of Rockford; sister, Pat Harris of Rockford; brother-in-law, Alan (Pat) Rudolph of California; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Josephine; and brothers-in-law, George Slomian and Brent Harris. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in St. Anthony Church, the Franciscan Friars will officiate. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation also from 9 a.m. Friday to service time in the church.
