EDDIE LEE CLARK, 67 ROCKFORD - Eddie Lee Clark, 67, of Rockford died in Christ Monday, March 4, 2013. Born June 20, 1945, in Hickory Valley, Tenn., son of Luther and Willie B. (Morrow) Clark. He moved to the Rockford area in 1969. Employed by Weyerhaeuser and later Rockford Products. Married Mildred Slocum on Sept. 1, 1973, in Rockford. Eddie lived for Christ. He was a baseball and basketball coach for many years. He also was actively involved in trying to save souls for Christ. He touched many lives through church, education and sports. His favorite things to do were spending time with family, friends, farming and fishing. He enjoyed listening to the White Sox and watching Duke basketball. Eddie leaves joyful memories. Survivors include wife, Mildred; daughters, Angela Clark of San Diego, Calif., and Alexus Clark of Rockford; sons, Eddie Wayne (Jeanette) Rucker of Jackson, Tenn., and Eric Clark of Chicago; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Julia (Gody) Pigrum of Hickory Valley, Tenn., Laura (Robert) Clark of Henderson, Tenn., Barbara Rucker, Rosie Bills and Hattie Clark, all of Bolivar, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Predeceased by parents and a brother. Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Kishwaukee Street Church of Christ, 3227 Kishwaukee St. with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.
