CHRISTOPHER HOWARD ARCHER, 48 ROCKFORD - Christopher Howard Archer, 48, of Rockford, died at 9:28 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in his home. Born Feb. 4, 1965, in Chicago; the son of Ivan E. and Roberta (Null) Archer. Christopher was a machinist for Schafer Gear Works. He played the drums most of his life, and he loved working on cars, especially his Camaro. He considered himself a perfectionist and believed if his name was on it, it was going to be great. He is survived by his brother, William Archer; niece, Rose Archer, and nephew, John Archer, all of Carmichael, Calif.; sister-in-law, Candy Archer; and nieces and nephews, William Little, Joshua Archer, and Jessica Archer, all of Rockford; niece, Melissa St. Angel of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Nathan Little of Mishawaka, Ind. Predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Robert Archer. Special thanks to his dear friend, Cathie Norman of Rockford. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with Pastor Bob Taylor officiating.
