JOHN T. 'MR. PY' PYZYNSKI, 84 ROCKFORD - John T. "Mr. Py" Pyzynski, 84, of Rockford was reunited with his wife and grandson Monday, April 15, 2013, at home surrounded by family. Born March 29, 1929, in Rockford, son of Vincent and Mary (Sermak) Pyzynski. Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Married Carolyn L. Herzog on June 19, 1954. Employed by Proctor Gamble, Zimmerman Electric, White Eagle Club and Hilander. Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. John loved spending time with family, fishing and gardening. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago White Sox fan. Survivors include children, Mary (Jeff) Schladweiler, Michael (Mary Jo) Pyzynski, Lisa (Jerry) Peppers, Laura (Mark) Cerutti and John (Jenny) Pyzynski; grandchildren, Kelly, Jacob and Jinn Schladweiler, Angie and Joe Pyzynski and Jon and Jeff Peppers; one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Alyce Zimmerman; and sisters-in-law, Josephine and Marge Pyzynski. Predeceased by wife; grandson, Chris Peppers; brothers, Joe and Walter; and sister, Nellie. Special thanks to OSF Hospice and to special caregiver, Dennis. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2330 Bell Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
