Four years... I still cannot believe that you are gone. I remember it like they were yesterday all of the times that you looked up at me from the front of the bus while you were waiting for me to give you the signal to cross the street during your kindergarten year.

I didn't know Thomas personally but his smile is infectious even in his photos. Losing a child is an unique pain. I am very sorry for your loss and pray you be comforted knowing Thomas will never again suffer. RIP Thomas.

To The Kossow Family,
Although I have never met your family or Thomas I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I am not one who likes the statements of "God has taken him to a better place" or "It was God's will". I do not believe that God wills such tragedy upon our lives especially the taking of an innocent child like Thomas. Horrible things happen to good and loving people. All one can do is cherish the memory of Thomas through laughter in the remembering of good times you had with him. You will have your days of utter devastation when it takes shear will to get out of bed. Maybe someday's you wont get out of bed and that's okay. It's the process of having your heart and soul heal and you will have to get through it the best you can. Don't be afraid to reach for a shoulder to cry on because there will be a line of friends willing to let you use theirs. May the healing grace of God be with you at your lowest times. Your entire family is in my family's thoughts and prayers.
