J. RALPH NORMAN, 80 ROCKFORD - J. Ralph Norman, 80, M.M. of Rockford passed away in his home on December 21, 2013. Born March 13, 1933, in Marion, IL to Virgil and Jessie (Midgett) Norman. He married Jeanette M. Blumenstock on June 27, 1952. J. Ralph was a carpenter for over 50 years, enjoyed his family and friends and was an active Master Mason, he was a Past Master of the, Marion, IL. Fellowship Masonic Lodge #89 and Cherry Valley Masonic, Lodge #173. Member of Valley of Chicago Scottish Rite Bodies, Tebala Shrine Center, Tebala's Directors Staff, he was a charter member of Tebala's Dressers Unit , where he enjoying riding his Harley in parades, he was also a charter member of the former Masonic Parade Group. J. Ralph is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Jeanette; son, J. Stacy Norman; daughter, Debbie Norman; grandsons, David (Laura) Norman, Ben and Nick Giesler; granddaughter, Mary Norman; sister-in-law, Barbara Madigan; nephews, Jason (Rogie), Noah and Herb White; niece, Vickie White. Predeceased by his parents; sister; brother; father and mother-in-law; as well as son-in-law and daughter-in-law. Visitation in Anderson-Long-Klontz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 6825 Weaver Road, Friday, January 31, 2014, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., with Masonic services to be conducted by Larry Keyser, followed by memorial services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Lester McClelland, Tebala Shrine Chaplain officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Northern Illinois Hospice in J. Ralph's memory.
