CLAYTON ARTHUR ALLEN, 53 ROCKFORD - Clayton Arthur Allen, 53, died suddenly on Saturday, February 8, 2014. He was born April 13, 1960, in Rockford to Donald and Joan Allen. He worked for many years at Camcar Textron, and currently as vice president of sales for MacLean Fogg. Clayton was brilliant in his field. He was recognized with awards as a Master Designer and Engineer and a U.S. Patent Holder, showcasing 33 patents. Earlier, Clayton coached his sons at Nelson Storm, was an IHSA referee, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, and 5th Ward Alderman in Loves Park. Clayton cheered on the Badger, Blackhawk and Cardinal teams. Survivors include father, Donald; sons, Nick (Tamara Traxel), Kile Allen; brother, Patrick; sister, Valerie Sciame; nieces, Andria and Alison; fiancée, Laura LaMont. Predeceased by mother, Joan. Memorial Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February, 13, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL.
