Looking at your picture it's hard to believe you're gone. Thinking of the times we were in your kitchen talking and cooking. The kids always talk about you they remember the times you baked cookies. My husband always say "I love that woman I sure do miss Aunt Ruby." In the back of my mind I think she's at home. When we come to visit it's weird not staying at your house. Then it hits she's really not there. I miss you! We all miss you! #teamHorton

I extend condolences to Rev Lambert and family regarding the loss of Sister Ruby Lambert. I cherish the memory of visits to their home to give her piano lessons. I thank God for those visits, because I often benefited spiritually from the conversations and fellowship that went along with those lessons. She enthusiastically ministered to many in all that she did and blessed many.

Some people you meet you regret having met them but there are some you value them and their friendship Ruby was that kind of friend to me. We always seem to enjoy conversation and discussion on the many hair styles she would wear I use to tell her sometimes I did not know who she was and we would laugh. She worked very hard in her church teaching and training and attended many of our church senior ministry activities at Allen Chapel . I got a call from Ruby a few months back and she wanted me to get some of our senior together and form a praise team Ruby I said if I got one together who would be there to give oxygen and provide wheel chairs we laughed needless to say that ended that. Heaven needed a seamstress some one who could not only sing in the heavenly choir but design and sow the choir robes. God looked down and saw my friend Ruby and said she is the one for the task.Pastor Lambert , Smith and family my deepest sympathy but God makes no mistakes he has a plan and if we live right and do what thus say the lord we will see Ruby again. I can remember I called my friend to invite her to attend one of our senior activities and she said she could not because Pastor Lambert was preaching some where and she had to attend and it was very important to Pastor that his wife be in the mist when he spoke or preached she said and she would join us another time. That is love and dedication for a husband and wife, My heart is heavy but I know God is real and his comforter is in the mist , Sing and sow on my friend see you later,
