Karen Gail Chism, age 60, passed peacefully on April 5, 2014. She was born October 21, 1953 to Carole Hall and Earl Chism.
Karen's surviving loved ones are her life long partner Judy Lunt, mother, father, brother Mike Chism and family, sister Sarah Teague and family, and many niecs and nephews all of Lubbock.
A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 1211 Hull Road in Ruidoso at 10:30 A.M. on April 26, 2014.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to OFCU, Hondo Valley Scholarship Fund, 211 Hwy 70, Ruidoso, NM 88345 to the Karen Chism Scholarship Fund.

Karen helped so many people, she will be greatly missed by all around her and with her. May you draw from all your memories and the God of all comfort . Deepest condolences to all the family. Sherry Fleming

I was so sad to hear of Karen's passing. She was a wonderful person and truly an advocate for all of the children in Lincoln County. She will be greatly missed!

Karen genuinely cared for the students she helped and I will be forever grateful for the support she offered while helping my son. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. My thoughts go out to Judy and those she left behind.
