Funeral service for Dr. Herbert Thiry, 89, of Ruidoso will be Friday, January 4, at 6:00 PM in the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Ruidoso Downs, graveside services will be Saturday, January 5, at 2:00 PM at the Causey Cemetery at Causey, NM.
Dr. Thiry passed away Monday, January 31, 2012 in Ruidoso. He was born November 10, 1923 in Jefferson County, Kansas. He was raised as a farm boy, loved to fly, loved God, people, life and plants. He moved to Ruidoso in August, 2005 from Belen, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorthy on February 6, 2012.
He is survived by his daughter, Dana Dildine; son-in-law, Bobby Lopez; sisters and brother, Alwina Stoltenberg, Neva Mae Leo and Robert E. Thiry.
The family has asked for memorial contributions to the Building Fund at the Ruidoso Seventh Day Adventist Church.
