Warren Beaver, 79, of Ruidoso Downs passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 in Alto, NM. He was born December 6, 1934 at Snyder, TX. He served in the Army during the Korean War and received a "Purple Heart". He was a Production Drilling Engineer until 1978 when he and Betty moved to Gail, TX and owned and operated the Beaver Ranch until 2008. In 1984 he started the Beaver Horse Transportation and in 1986 he and Betty bought Circle J Bar-B-Q. He moved to Lincoln County in 1995 from Gail, TX. He attended the J Bar J Country Church in Ruidoso. He married Betty on April 16, 1973 at Midland, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Ruidoso Downs; 2 sons, Bill Jennings of Ruidoso Downs and Burt Jennings of Ledbetter, TX; a daughter, Kelly McCormick of Floydada, TX; a brother, Morris Courville of Andrews, TX; six grandchildren, Kyle Jennings and Dean Jennings of Austin, TX, McCrae McCormick and Madolyn McCormick of Floydada, TX, Shyann Lawrence and Cody Lawrence of Ledbetter, TX.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 8, at 2:00 PM at the J Bar J Country Church in Ruidoso.

The family has requested memorials to the New Mexico Baptist Children's Home in Portales, NM.
