Reverend Wayne Joyce went to be with the Lord on Oct 10th, 2017. Wayne was born March 2, 1927, and lived a gracious, blessed, service filled life for 90 years.
After serving in the Navy in WWII, he pastored Bible Baptist Church, Apheatone, OK. Graduated as salutatorian from Bible Baptist Seminary as President of Student Body with a Bachelor of Divinity Degree. While attending, Seminary was Associate Pastor of Victory Baptist Church, Kennedale, TX. After Graduation, pastored Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, TX, then organized the Ruidoso Baptist Church, Ruidoso, NM in Feb. 1959. His website, http://waynejoyce.com hosts an extensive free audio library, has had over 10 million downloads, including media hosted on sermonaudio.com, and iTunes. While building Ruidoso Baptist Church, Wayne worked as a general contractor, owner of "Trailer House Service and Supply," city employee for Ruidoso Parks and Recreation, and a volunteer firefighter for the city of Ruidoso Downs. Wayne helped build many of the park structures still in use today, as well as many beautiful homes throughout the area.
Wayne was proceeded in death by his parents: Coleman George and Mary Celeste Joyce; his wife Louise Marie Joyce; his daughter Darlene Marie Joyce; and siblings Melton Joyce Farus and Clarence Joyce Stroup. Wayne is survived by his son Dearl Wayne Joyce, McKinney, TX; two brothers, Albert "Bert" Dunbar Joyce, and "Tommy" Thomas Joyce, both of Barberton, OH; one sister, Virginia Merle Joyce Anders, Coventry Township, OH; 15 nieces and nephews; many devoted and much loved church family members; and a great number of friends. Wayne's life was that of a gifted soul that continually sowed seeds of kindness with everyone he encountered.
The visitation will be Friday, Oct. 13, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and Saturday, Oct.14, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. with the Funeral Service, open to the public, will be conducted at Ruidoso Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct 15th, at 10:00 A.M. Following the service, all are invited to attend a luncheon in the church fellowship hall downstairs. An internment service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., at Forest Lawn Cemetery, the following day, Monday, Oct 16th.
Over the years, Wayne touched many lives in Ruidoso, and all are welcome to celebrate his dedicated life at these services.

Pastor Wayne , was indeed a great bible teacher , and expositor of the Word Of God , and yes he will be missed , I had taken notes from his teaching when listening to his preaching , God Bless his family and relatives.
