My condolences on the passing of your Dad! Your parents were such special people! They definitely balanced each other out, your Mom with her joyous laughter and your Dad with his quiet calm. I loved going to the flower show in Boston with your Mom! Hopefully lots of happy memories will sustain you at this time.

Throughout my 7 years as the pastor of the Springfield United Methodist Church I deeply loved and appreciated both Matty and Dot. While Matty and I had divergent religious theologies; we had a deep respect for one another. He was always very caring of me, my family, and all persons. Matty and Dot were also faithful members of the Emmaus Community. He was truly a great man and servant of Jesus Christ.

My most sincere condolences. Mitch, and his wife, Dot, were part of my extended family, as I was growing up. I have fond memories of singing in the church choir with him as a teenager.

Requiescat in pace, Uncle Mitch. You get to be with Aunt Dot, Uncle Joe, and Daddy now. Please tell Dad I love him and miss him, and that I think of him all the time. I hope you are happy and pain-free and in peace & joy now. You deserve that, you were such a good man. I alway looked up to you for serving your country and for walking your talk. You were always so kind and generous with people. Bless you on your journey. Love, Theresa.
