SOUTH WOODSTOCK - Josephine M. Colston, 75, died Nov. 6, 2009, at Mount Ascutney Hospital in Windsor.
She was born Aug. 19, 1934, in South Woodstock, the youngest of nine children of James P. and Edith (Rutherford) Benedict, and graduated from Woodstock High School.
Mrs. Colston worked for Kedron Valley Inn, Woodstock National Bank and South Woodstock Country Store.
She enjoyed dancing and playing cards.
Survivors include a son, Michael Colston of South Woodstock; a daughter, Anne Genovese of Brownsville; a grandson; a sister, Louine Walker of South Woodstock; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Avery Colston.
The memorial calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock.
Burial will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Woodstock Fire Department, in care of Tom Hayes, PO Box 36, South Woodstock, VT 05071.
