Charles A. Garrow

MOUNT HOLLY - Charles A. Garrow, 76, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 27, 1936, in Mount Holly, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Harris) Garrow.

He was a dairy farmer and a self-employed building contractor.

He was a life member of the Mount Holly Fire Department, the Cairo Shriners of Rutland, and Mount Moriah 96 of East Wallingford. He was also a member of the Vermont National Guard, Loyal Order of the Moose Club, and son of the American Legion.

He enjoyed camping and road trips.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Garrow-Woolley, Brenda Garrow and Lori Norton, all of Mount Holly; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a sister Charlotte Pikkarainen of Chippenhook; his companion Barbara West of Claremont, N.H.; and five stepchildren, Susan, Elwin, Scott, Glen and Tim.

He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Janice M. (Fuller) Garrow.

Friends may call Friday, April 12, 2013, (today) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 13, at Packer Cemetery, beginning at the Mount Holly Fire Department at 11 a.m.
