Charlotte W. Lincoln

IRA - Charlotte W. Lincoln, 89, of Ira, VT, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center.

She was born on May 7, 1923, in Ira, the daughter of Grant and Lila Curtiss White.

She married Stewart E. Lincoln on June 23, 1945. He died January 25, 2006.

Mrs. Lincoln was a 75-year member of the Ira Valley Grange # 342, serving as secretary for over 55 years, member of the New Horizon Pomona Grange # 33, National Grange, Vermont State Grange, and past State Junior Grange Deputy. She also belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, Gilman Chapter # 88, for over 55 years, Ira Farm and Home Club, several Historical Societies and the Ira Go-Getters.

She enjoyed crocheting, "fancy work," genealogy, visiting with family and friends, and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Neal, and Larry and his wife, Elaine of Ira; grandchildren, Justin, Amy and Amanda; sisters-in-law, Lucelia Lincoln and Beulah Hewitt; many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and pals, Lucky and Stormy.

Mrs. Lincoln was predeceased by a son, Gary G. Lincoln, who died Oct. 25, 1981.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, January 5, 2013, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m., at the Tossing Funeral Home.

Burial will be at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery in Ira.
