Claire P. Mullen, 71, a longtime resident of Rutland and formerly of Benson, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the Rutland Regional Center.
She was born August 11, 1941, in Bound Brook, New Jersey, the daughter of Clement and Anna (Dutelle) Perfetti.
Mrs. Mullen attended St. Peter School and Mount Saint Joseph Academy, graduating in 1959.
She worked as a secretary for CVPS and the superintendent's office in Fair Haven for several years.
Mrs. Mullen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the Rutland Regional Medical Center and was active with the Rutland Missionary Association for several years.
Survivors include her two daughters, Laurie Wright of Rutland Town and Andrea Hooker of Castleton; a son, Sean Mullen and his wife Sheila of Charlotte, North Carolina; two brothers, Robert Perfetti and his wife Joann of Jones Creek, Georgia, and Paul Perfetti and his wife Loraine of Palm Desert, California; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband John J. Mullen in 2003; two brothers, Richard Perfetti in 1957, and Donald Perfetti in 2010.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, at the Aldous Funeral Home in Rutland.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Proctor. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
