FAIR HAVEN, Vt. - Frank A. Trombley, 79, of Lockburn Avenue, passed away April 29, 2013, at the Indian River Rehabilitation and Health Center following a short illness.
Born on March 1, 1934, in Plattsburg, N.Y., he was the son of Edward and Mary (King) Trombley.
Mr. Trombley was a member of the Keeseville Elks Lodge
#2072 for over 50 years, also a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3907, both of Fair Haven, VT. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion #83 of Whitehall, N.Y.
In his early years he worked for the Pepsi Company. He then became and retired as an Insurance Agent for Metropolitan and Prudential Insurance Companies.
After his retirement he enjoyed doing bookkeeping and accounting for many numerous organizations.
He is predeceased by his first wife Shirley Roy Trombley, and his siblings Geraldine Trombley Rugar, Louis Trombley, Edward Trombley, Napoleon Trombley and Francis "George" Trombley.
He is survived by his wife Betty (Bushey) Trombley; his children: Cindy Rennell and her husband Robert, Paul Trombley and his wife Cindy, Leo Trombley and his wife Jacqueline, Bruce Trombley and his wife Donna, Frank Trombley and his wife Cindy, Scott Trombley, Susan Beatty and her husband Tom, Robert Trombley and his wife Pam, Rebecca Watkins and her husband Jerry, Ronald Trombley, James Trombley and his wife Nicole; one brother Wilfred "Pete" Trombley; and a step-daughter Kristie Paddock and her husband Jamie; 22 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Fair Haven, Vermont, with Pastor James Lawrence officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fair Haven, Vermont.
Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, N.Y., on Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
