Lara N. Dorsey

PLYMOUTH - Lara Nelson Dorsey, 54, died Nov. 14, 2008, at her home.

She worked as a ski instructor at Killington, a landscaper at Green Mountain National Golf course, a garden center manager at Black River Produce, and was founder of Fiddlehead Factory.

She enjoyed making wreaths and jewelry, basket-weaving, baking, calligraphy and sewing.

Survivors include a daughter, Ryan, who is a student at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.; a brother, John Nelson of Arlington; a sister, Linda Pettit of Dover, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.

The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Green Mountain National Golf Course.

A service to scatter her ashes will be held at a later date in at her summer camp, Laurel Lake in Jacksonville.

Donations may be made to help defray the cost of Ryan's education, in care of her uncle, John Nelson, 291 Grass Mountain Rd., Arlington, VT 05250.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock.
