Linda A. Morgan

Linda A. Morgan, 67, of Rutland died peacefully on April 14, 2013, while surrounded by her family at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT.

Linda was born in Jamaica Queens, N.Y., on May 20, 1945, the second daughter of Arthur and Helen (Nemeth) McKinney.

After graduating from Jamaica High School and the Katherine Gibbs School in New York City, Linda worked as an Executive Assistant in New York City and Norwalk and Stamford, Connecticut for National Guardian, Beiersdorf and Dooney and Bourke. Most recently, she was employed in Rutland by Ryan Smith & Carbine Ltd., David Horgan, and Curves.

She is survived by her daughter Jaime Morgan Lanzillo and her husband, Jeff of Rutland, her son Justin Morgan of Rutland, and her son Christopher Todd Morgan of Norwalk, CT. Linda is also survived by a sister, Carol Kirschner of Selden, N.Y.

Linda was predeceased by her parents and her sister Janice Boyd.

Linda was retired and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling, but most of all, spending time with her three grandchildren, Alexandria, Caden, and McKinley.

While living in Connecticut, Linda was very active in the Norwalk United Methodist Church. In Rutland, she was a member of the Grace Congregational Church, where she became a Deacon. She was an active member in many areas of the church, serving on the Parish Life Committee, the Worship and Sacrament Committee, Vacation Bible School, as well as volunteering in other areas. She enjoyed being part of the church, and especially enjoyed the music.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Grace Congregational Church. There will be no calling hours. A private burial is planned at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
