Theresa M. Aglieri

BENNINGTON - Theresa (Hamilton) Aglieri died May 8, 2012.

She was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Colchester, the daughter of Eugene and Florence (Fremeau) Hamilton.

She married Anthony Aglieri on Nov. 25, 1944.

She retired from Union Carbide Corp. in Bennington. She had previously worked at Sealtest Ice Cream Plant in Colchester.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Bennington, where she was a eucharistic minister for many years.

She lived in Bennington from 1966 until 2009. Then she resided with her son, Gary Aglieri and his wife Kim, who live in Fort Worth, Texas.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Aglieri of Fort Worth, Texas, and Stephen Aglieri of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Vartuli; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Aglieri in 1993.

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, followed by a Mass of Christian Death and Burial at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 14.
