Bette Flore Obituary
She was born July 26, 1928, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Lynes) Priest.
She graduated from Classical High School in Springfield, Mass.
On June 3, 1950, she married Olaf H. "Bud" Flore in Springfield, Mass. Mr. Flore died in 2010.
Mrs. Flore was employed with Mass Mutual Insurance and assisted her husband for many years with his business, Standard Industrial of North Springfield.
She volunteered with the Santa Claus Club in Springfield, Springfield Hospital Auxiliary and the former Family Center.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield and an Assembly Dance member.
Mrs. Flore enjoyed gardening, painting and going to the beach.
Survivors include a son, William Flore of Springfield; two daughters, Joanne Booraem of Essex and Christine Fullam of North Springfield; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield. The Rev. Peter Williams, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Hospital Foundation. PO Box 2003, Springfield, VT 05156.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.

Dear Chrissy, Joanne and Billy,
We just got off the phone with the Jay Bird and got the sad news of your Mom's passing. We did have a couple of chuckles with the Bird about how much time he spent sitting with Bud and Bette on Cutler Drive. Jeremy has fond memories of your folks along with myself. Sorry we can't be there, but sure you will see some Pinders representation. One of the unfortunate parts of living so far away. Please know our thoughts are with you...and Tom will see you in June.

I'm very sorry at this news. I had hoped we could have managed a time to see her again. I'll pass the word to my brothers and sisters. Please give our condolences to Chris and Bill and all the extended family. She was the last of the four "grownups" who shaped all our worlds way back in those great days. We'll never forget the nights out in the tent, the flight on Standard Industrial's private plane, the trip to Sunapee or any of the other great adventures.
Well they've all gone to a different realm but they live inside all of us. God Bless you all. Our prayers are with you. Thank you for letting us know.
