RUTLAND TOWN - Betty Ann York, 81, died February 14, 2013, at her home with her husband by her side.

She was born in Castleton, VT, on February 22, 1931, the daughter of Byron and Vida Fish.

After her high school graduation, Betty was employed by Foley's Laundry for over 50 years.

She was a resident of Melbourne, Fl., and Rutland Town.

Betty enjoyed family gatherings, and loved to swim and walk on the beach in Florida. She was also an avid collector of dolls and nutcrackers.

Surviving are her husband, Rudolph H. York of Rutland; a brother, Byron Fish of West Charleston; a sister, Wilma Niven of Windsor; three grandchildren, Eli, Byron and Bobby Trepanier; two step-grandchildren, Mike and Billy Drew; and long-time friend Barbara Reardon.

She was predeceased by her son, Joseph W. Trepanier Jr. in 1992, and by a sister, Doris Provencher.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 19, at 2 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. Burial will be held at a later date in Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, VT.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home.
