SPRINGFIELD - Candice Hotte, 55, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

She was born Jan. 25, 1957, in Massena, N.Y., the daughter of Lloyd Elwood and Patricia (Wolcott) Holmes.

She attended schools in New York and Vermont.

She was married to Keith Charles Destromp Sr. He predeceased her.

She was a supervisor with Simmonds Precision in Vergennes, and also worked at IBM.

She enjoyed Nascar Racing, puzzles, puzzle books, cribbage and family games.

Survivors include a son, Keith Charles Destromp Jr. of Navarre, Fla.; a daughter, Keitha Marie Destromp of Springfield; three brothers, Dale Holmes of Springfield, Ronald Wolcott of Long Island, N.Y., and Sammy Lamphear of Massena, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia Lamphear, also of Massena, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Roger L. Holmes.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. The Rev. Walter McDaniel, pastor of the Bow Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
