IRA - Carol Ann Berg, 74, of Ira, VT, passed away on Sept. 6, 2018, after a year-long struggle with pancreatic cancer.
Born Dec. 14, 1943, in Westerly, RI, Carol is the daughter of Richard and Lillian (Treloar) Webster.
She spent her early years in Clarendon, moving to Ira as a teenager. Carol graduated from Rutland High School in 1961 and married Donald Berg in Ira on June 20, 1964.
She worked for Dr. Cummings as a dental assistant for three years and then as a secretarial coordinator at Rutland Regional Medical Center for 45 years, retiring in 2008.
Her parents predeceased her.
Carol is survived by her husband, Donald, of Ira; a daughter, Heather Berg and husband Murray Benner, of Colchester; a cousin, Arlene Devoid, of Kittery, ME; sisters-in-law Marie Ward, of Castleton, and Sandra Berg, of Whitehall, NY; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, "Hobie."
Private burial will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Ira.
There will be a reception for Carol on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at the Ira Town Hall from 1-4 p.m.
