DANBY - Clyde Edward Colvin, 64, of Danby passed away after a brief illness on June 18, 2013.

He was born July 25, 1948, the son of Cecil and Shirley (Roberts) Colvin.
Clyde lived in the Danby area his entire life. He was the retired caretaker of Crown Point Condominiums on Stratton Mountain for over 17 years.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Cecille (Stevens) Colvin of Danby; a daughter, Trudy Colvin Hodgin of Danby; a son-in-law, Jeff Foley of Rutland; five grandchildren, Kala Foley, Sheena Foley, Andrew Colvin, Jared Hodgin and Justin Hodgin.
He was the proud of his five, soon to be six, great-grandchildren.
His siblings include two sisters, Carol Colvin Frederick and her husband Walter and their son Shawn of Wallingford, and Sharon Colvin Wescott of Danby.
He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Devi Colvin Foley, and a son-in-law, Craig Hodgin.
Clyde was a passionate sportsman spending much of his free time fishing, hunting or golfing with friends and family. One of his favorite pastimes was camping on Mount Tabor with his wife or at the state parks with the great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Danby Scottsville Cemetery in Danby.
Officiating will be Rev. Richard Tinney, pastor of St. Pius X in Essex Junction, Vt.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
