RUTLAND - Danny A. (Boone) Peer, age 59, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born in Rutland on May 10, 1953, the son of Wilber Lester and Marjorie (Trombley) Peer.
Boone was raised in Rutland, where he attended Rutland High School.
He was employed for over 20 years at Westminster Cracker Factory.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed ice fishing. His favorite location to camp and fish was Wallingford Pond. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family home in Chippenhook, known as "The Homestead"
He is survived by his son, Jeremy W. Peer and his wife, Beth of Rutland and their children, Jaryn Peer and Westin Peer. He is also survived by three brothers, Wilber T. Peer, Proctor, John L. Peer, Bomoseen, and Lester A. Peer, Dorset; four sisters, Ellen E. Simonds, Tyson, Christine M. Barker, Chippenhook, Nancy A. Shaw and Marjorie Peer Bagley, both of Rutland, several nieces and nephews. A brother, Richard W. (Chogie) Peer predeceased him.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1 p.m. in "The Homestead" in Chippenhook.

Miller and Ketcham Funeral Home, 26 Franklin Street, Brandon, is handling the arrangements.
