DANBY - Elsie Mae Ralph, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at her home in Danby.
She was born on May 27, 1924, in Danby, VT, the daughter of Lewis and Else (Oaks) Wells.
She married Harry R. Ralph Sr. on March 22, 1943.
Mrs. Ralph grew up in Danby and was employed by the Hale Furniture Co. in Arlington for over 30 years prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed listening to bluegrass and fiddle music and was a member of The Champlain Valley Fiddlers and Adirondack Fiddlers.
Mrs. Ralph also enjoyed traveling and taking camping trips.
She is survived by her husband of almost 75 years, Harry; a son, Harry R. Ralph Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Danby; a grandson, Harry Ralph III and his wife, Lindsay, of Danby; a granddaughter, Judy Troy and husband Stephen, of Avon, CT; five great-grandchildren Tyler and Jeremy Ralph, Karen, Keenen and Zach; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Wells, of Mount Tabor; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Linda Ralph, in 2008, several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Danby Scottsville Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Aldous Funeral Home.
