SPRINGFIELD - Emelia Hentz, 97, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Springfield, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Krupsky) Krupinsky.
She graduated in 1934 from Springfield High School.
On May 27, 1939, she married Robert Hentz in Wallingford, Conn. He died in 1969.
Mrs. Hentz was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and she enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Catherine Bradley of Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Mary Green, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Maynes, in 2007 and eight siblings, Helen Moriarty, Josephine Stearns, Anna Witt, Joseph, Boleslof, Walter, Wesley and Edward Krupinsky.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield, with the Rev. Peter Williams, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield.
