Florence P. Beebe, 99, of Rutland and formerly Rutland Town, died Monday, January 28, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Marjorie, which they had shared since September of 2009.

She was born on January 27, 1914, in Poultney, Vt., the daughter of Leon and Edna May (Lyman) Parker. She was the last surviving member of 12 siblings and predeceased by her husband, Myron John Beebe.
She was educated in the Rutland City schools.
Mrs. Beebe was a longtime member and past deaconess of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ.
She enjoyed knitting mittens, jigsaw puzzles and attending the Rutland Town Seniors' Tuesday "lunch bunch."
Survivors include her daughters, Lucille and her husband, Stewart Williams, of Holland, Mich., Martha and her husband, H.E. Seward IV, of Venice, Fla., Linda Horton and her companion, Peter Sedlier, of Peabody, Mass., and Marjorie and her husband, James Candon II, of Rutland; grandchildren, Alan Williams, Piper Thomas, Karen Seward Davis, Lauren Seward, Jennifer Horton, James Candon III and Timothy Candon; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Tossing Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at a later date.
