SPRINGFIELD - Gloria A. Dupont, 83, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at her home in Springfield.

She was born April 19, 1929, in Keene, N.H., the daughter of Harry and Lena (Tyo) Holden.

She moved to Ludlow when she was 6 years old, attending schools in Ludlow and graduating from Black River High School, Class of 1947.

On Oct. 25, 1952, she married Robert P. Dupont in Ludlow. He predeceased her on June 20, 2004.

She had made her home in Springfield since 1952.

She was employed by an insurance company in Keene, N.H., for several years. She also worked at Jones & Lamson Machine Tool Company in Springfield for 10 years.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking and gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Eko Dupont of Springfield; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter; and a cousin.

She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Peter Williams, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate.

Friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
