She graduated from Rutland High School in 1938 and was employed as a clerk for many years at the Carroll Cut Rate Drug Store on Center Street.
She was a member of the Mendon Methodist Church and of the Mendon Historical Society. In 2009, she was honored by the Vermont Historical Society for her work recovering the history of Mendon, often through photography, a lifelong pastime at which she excelled.
