POULTNEY - Helen E. Danielson, 95, passed away on January 21, 2013, at The Pines at Rutland Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born Helen E. Classon on March 12, 1917, and raised in Cedar Knolls, N.J.

She married Olav Danielson on March 8, 1937, and had a son, Daniel. Helen was a mother, homemaker and secretary/bookkeeper for her husband's floor contracting business from their home in Lebanon, N.J.

Helen was a dedicated Catholic and attended church as often as she could. She was active in the PTA and the Grey Ladies, a hospital volunteer group.

She enjoyed needlepoint and arts and crafts.

After Olav passed away in 1984, she moved to Poultney in 1985 to live with her son and daughter-in-law. There, she became active in the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Group.

She is survived by her son, Daniel and his wife Linda; three grandchildren, Cynthia Flagg of Rutland, Thomas Danielson of Bethel Park, Pa., and Christopher Danielson of Williams Township, Pa.; five great-grandchildren, Rachael Burmania of Addison, Vt., Jacob Burmania of Vergennes, Vt., Connor and Ian Danielson of Bethel Park, Pa., and Shaun Danielson of Williams Township, Pa.; also by one great-great-grandchild, Beau Barrous of Addison, Vt.

Helen had a boundless sense of humor; her life was dedicated to others. Everyone who knew her loved her; she will be greatly missed.

Services will be private and at the convenience of her family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
