Janet M. LaBelle, 76, of Rutland, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1936, in Rutland, the daughter of Thomas and Nerea (Stalker) Hughes.

Ms. LaBelle was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in 1954.

She was employed at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home for 20 years and also at the Ames Department Store for 10 years.

Ms. LaBelle was a member of the Rutland Regional Medical Center Pulmonary Rehab. Group. She loved to go camping in Maine with her family and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Mayhew, Carla LaBelle and Mary Euber, all of Rutland; two sisters, Eileen Ritter and Martha Dubray, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; a brother, David of Hartford, Vt.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Thomas, and a sister, Ann Tuliper.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Aldous Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
