HANCOCK - John Michael Kolesnik, 55, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, at home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by his wife and four daughters.

John was born in Lowell, MA, October 12, 1957, the son of the late Michael J. and Florence (Vona) Kolesnik.
He grew up in Westford, MA, and moved to Vermont in 1993.
He was a self-employed master electrician, licensed in MA, NH, and VT.
John loved his family, skiing, and traveling.
Surviving family members include his wife Diane M. (Howells) Kolesnik of Hancock; four daughters, Danielle DeAngelo and her husband Anthony of Saugus, MA, Ashley Kolesnik of Hancock, Jessica Kolesnik of Rochester, and Nicole Kolesnik of Hancock; grandson, Dylan Kolesnik; an aunt, Viola Barnes; special cousins, Gary Barnes and his children, Debra Chase and her husband Alan and their children, and Sandra Simano and her husband Bob; several nieces, nephews, friends and his faithful dog, Spike.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Michael Kolesnik.
A gathering of remembrance will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the home of Danielle DeAngelo, 61 Riverbank Rd., Saugus, MA, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. A gathering for his family and friends in Vermont will be held at a later date.
