SPRINGFIELD - Kenneth R. Lamotte, 70, died April 12, 2013, at Springfield Health and Rehab.

He was born Feb. 22, 1943, in Springfield, the son of Clarence and Evelyn (Grover) Lamotte. He grew up in Chester, where he graduated from Chester High School in 1962.
He served for three years in the Army National Guard.
He worked for many years as a machinist for Fellows Gear Shaper. He also spent many years at Holmes Transportation as a dock worker.
Survivors include three sons, Chris Lamotte of Milton, Jason Lamotte of Arlington, Mass., and Steven Lamotte of Springfield; three grandchildren; a brother, Ray Lamothe of Charlestown; and a sister Leona Brown of Bellows Falls.
He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He also enjoyed Candlepin bowling as well as playing cards.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
