PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - Louis Francis Carle, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his home in Port Orchard.

He was born Oct. 10, 1934, in Rutland, Vt., the son of Louis and Rosanna (Hebert) Carle.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956, followed by a long career as a carpenter.

He enjoyed socializing, going to church and making people laugh.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Peggy Carle; three daughters, Michelle Arrants, Renee Carle, and Denise Loveless; a son, Mike Carle; a stepdaughter, Suzie Failla; a stepson, Kenny Stover; and many grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Aline M. Brothers and Lorena A. Menduni; and a brother, Maurice A. Carle.

The Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service was held at the Prince of Peace Parish in Belfair, with the Rev. Phong officiating.
