Mary E. Carlson, 86, of Rutland, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Rutland, the daughter of William and Gladys (Wright) McMahon.

She owned and operated the Mr. Twister Ice Cream truck in Rutland for many years and the T&C Mobile Home Park.

Mrs. Carlson was a member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Leck of Sebastian, Fla., and Karen Carlson of Rutland; four siblings, Betty Mylott of Rutland, Lorraine Czinder of Michigan, Charles McMahon of Rutland Town, Bernard McMahon of Proctor and David McMahon of Hydeville; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred G. Carlson, in 1979 and five siblings, Clarence ‘‘Red" Sr., Robert and Charlotte McMahon, Barbara Simonds and Eleanor LaPlante.

There will be no calling hours.

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Aldous Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Proctor.
