WESTON - Noel Clarke "Fritz" Fritzinger, 81, died June 13, 2011.

He was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pa.

He graduated from the William Penn Charter School and Amherst College.

In 1955, Mr. Fritzinger married Caroline Adams Bailey in Scarsdale, N.Y.

He was employed by Allied Chemical Corp. and the New York State Museum at Albany.

In Vermont, he was chairman of Vermont Land Trust, cofounder of Orton Family Foundation and Weston Land Trust, and a member of Vermont Coverts and Weston Historical Society.

He enjoyed farming, animals, music, travel, art, woodworking and reading.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Lauren Muldoon, Peter and Stephen Fritzinger; 11 grandchildren; and a brother, John Fritzinger Jr.

The celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Old Parish Church in Weston and followed by a luncheon at his home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vermont Land Trust, Vermont Public Radio or Mountain Valley Medical Center.
