She was born March 17, 1939, in Branford, Conn., the daughter of Anna and Joseph Nailor.
She married Victor Bergevin on Oct. 14, 1961. They owned and operated a dairy farm until 1987.
She worked as a secretary at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Boston, Mass., and then Bruskin Associates in New Brunswick, N.J., prior to her marriage. After retiring from farming, she worked at the Otter Creek Natural Resources Conservation District, as district clerk, from 1987 to 2004.
She enjoyed playing cards, camping and vacationing with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Victor J. Bergevin; two sons, John Bergevin of Whiting, and Jacque Bergevin of Middlebury; three daughters, Jean Stone of East Middlebury, Jane Aube of New Haven, and Jacqueline Doty of Brandon; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by twin sons, Louis and Joseph Bergevin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Middlebury, with the Rev. William Beaudin as the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends called Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main St., Middlebury, where arrangements are being handled.
