RUTLAND TOWN - Philip J. Quirk, 53, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

He was born in Proctor, March 22, 1959, the son of John J. and Irene (Canavan) Quirk.

Mr. Quirk was employed by the State of Vermont for 25 years.

Survivors include his parents of Rutland Town; five siblings, Kathy Goodrich, Deborah, Sharon and Michael Quirk, all of Rutland, and John Quirk Jr. of Williston; aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Quirk.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Christ the King Church in Rutland with the Rev. Justin Baker, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
