PAWLET - Robert A. Corey, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018.
He was born Feb. 19, 1941, in Danby, the son of John and Edna (Ackley) Corey.
He was a graduate of Wallingford High School.
Following graduation, Mr. Corey managed the Ross family farm in Pawlet. He later worked as a mechanic at Hand Chevrolet in Manchester and at General Electric in Rutland, also as a mechanic.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening, woodworking, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Ross), whom he married in 1961; his son, Leon; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his sister, Sylvia Cramer; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two daughters Jennifer in 1988 and Andrea in 1993; seven siblings John and Charles Corey, Violet Stone, Alice Pratt Read, Barbara Harrington, Margaret Gardner and Betty Austin.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at South Granville Congregational Church with the Rev. Robert Flower presiding.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, New York.
Burial will be at a later date.
